study of cohesive devices in the textbook of english for the students of apsychology by rastegarpour
this study investigates the cohesive devices used in the textbook of english for the students of psychology. the research questions and hypotheses in the present study are based on what frequency and distribution of grammatical and lexical cohesive devices are. then, to answer the questions all grammatical and lexical cohesive devices in reading comprehension passages from 6 units of 21units th...
Address Register Assignment for Reducing Code Size
In DSP processors, minimizing the amount of address calculations is critical for reducing code size and improving performance since studies of programs have shown that instructions that manipulate address registers constitute a significant portion of the overall instruction count (up to 55%). This work presents a compiler-based optimization strategy to reduce the code size in embedded systems. ...
متن کاملFaster Set Intersection with SIMD instructions by Reducing Branch Mispredictions
Set intersection is one of the most important operations for many applications such as Web search engines or database management systems. This paper describes our new algorithm to efficiently find set intersections with sorted arrays on modern processors with SIMD instructions and high branch misprediction penalties. Our algorithm efficiently exploits SIMD instructions and can drastically reduc...
متن کاملPredicting away the Delay
This paper describes a method to reduce the effects of the system immanent delay for the RoboCup small size league. It explains how we solved the task by predicting the movement of our robots using a neural network. We have successfully field-tested the system at several RoboCup competitions with our FU-Fighters team. The predictions improve speed and accuracy of play.
متن کاملShift - Register Synthesis and BCH Decoding l
It is shown in this paper that the iterative algorithm introduced by Berlekamp for decoding BCH codes actually provides a general solution to the problem of synthesizing the shortest linear feedback shift register capable of generating a prescribed finite sequence of digits. The shit-register approach leads to a simple proof of the validity of the algorithm as well as providing additional insig...
